You’ve asked, we listened. We have incorporated many ‘features’ into the design of our June 23rd beach run! The new course now requires you to run through water, carry sand bags, crawl under cargo nets and a few more surprises. Compete as an individual, or participate as a team. 100% beach event, and the shoes are still an option! We’ve also added in a 1km kids fun run on the sand.
Trails Youth Initiatives is proud to be the charity of choice for the Grind! On august 5th, 2012 , many triathletes will be at Limberlost Wildlife and Nature Reserve running, swimming and biking to raise awareness for Trails. The Race Committee decided to select Trails because the 4-year Trails model and curriculum produces lasting results – 90% of Trails youth go on towards post-secondary education compared to only 10% of their peer group.
At Trails, we have ambitious goals to help youth, who have all the odds stacked against them realize their potential.
However, our work is far from complete and we can’t do it without your support. Let’s talk about how YOU can help make a big difference in the lives of vulnerable youth by coming out to the Grind.

First off, I want to thank all the volunteers and especially the Triathlon Club of Burlington for such amazing efforts on race weekend. With out all of you, this event would not be possible.
Second I want to thank all the participants who came out, left it all out on the course and still managed to thank the volunteers either while riding, running past a water station or after on your way out. The volunteers could not get over how many of you made those extra efforts to thank them and it made us all feel very much appreciated.
Third is to our incredible sponsorship crew. Your support in these growing years are the other reason why participants have an event like Mine Over Matter to race in.
